i am a real "shade" convert, on both my 72 and 85 (i like the "sling" too.)
the shade seems to make a big difference on the 85.  i find the frame 
lines do dim a bit, particularly on the right side.

p.s. visiting the konerman site reveals that lutz has not rested on his
laurels; he's got new stuff, particularly  the interesting-looking 
"steer" for the big M-glass: noct, 75 lux and 90 cron.
