I don't think you have aliasing per se: it is after all dye clouds and not
grain.  I suspect that some internal processing is causing the difference in
grain.  The reality is that Portra and NPZ are similar in grain size so
something in the scanner is causing the "grain"  Can you change the film
terms prior to prescan?  Could you scan the negative stock as a positive and
invert in PS?  Lots of things to try and I can't be more specific without
knowing what scanner you are using.
