Hi adam. i too recently got a jobo and refused to use plastic reels after
years of hewes pro reel bliss. Jobo makes a hewes reel that fits on the
standard plastic core the model number is 1565. they also used to make a
special stainless steel center core that worked with there 1555 reels which
they no longer reccomend. I definetly suggest getting the 1565 pro
reels.-daniel mcclenaghan
