The "spurs" in the older Marchoni Tiltall model are advanced and
retracted by turning the knurled ring closest to the half-round rubber
feet.

The spurs in the newer model are always advanced and can appear to be
retracted by turning/screwing the rubber feet until they advance past
the end of the spur.
