Think yourself lucky you don't live in France. Maison du Leica is
currently asking 135 Euros (almost 1:1 exchange rate with the US dollar)
for the lens hood for the Tri-Elmar. Guess who bought one a couple of
months ago. It's metal and well made but 135 Euros!!!

You can see all the French prices at...
http://www.maisonduleica.com/Neuf/LEICA.htm

I'm not too sure how up to date this page is as they don't list the M7
and I know the shop is selling the body. But I doubt that the prices
shown will have been substantially reduced.

Sheesh. Sure there's the high price of admission for Leica glass (which,
IMO, is worth it). These accessory prices are nuts. Leica knows what
they can charge and they don't blink. I only tolerate it because of the
gorgeous lenses and extraordinary feel of the stuff.

I bought a Leica body cap. I wish I'd bought a Hexar cap and bought
lunch with the change.
