Perhaps for you this works differently, but I have found the images from
lighter cameras are not near as sharp when I shot at slow shutter speeds,
like 1/15 and lower, than the heavier cameras  which, for me, have produced
sharper images at those camera speeds.

From my experience, tremendously, and is one of the primary reasons I use a
Leica M.  The other reasons are the fast glass and small size...oh yeah, and
quiet operation.

I can compare images from my Contax RTSIII, which is very heavy, with my
Contax Aria, same lense...and the RTSIII images are noticeably sharper...so
it is more than simply the lack of a mirror in the Leica M.
