I was about to comment on how grainy the shots were when I saw that you
were using Delta 3200. Would that be a bottle of Russian Champagne in
the ALT?

I shot my first roll of Fuji 1600 B&W today - I'm quite interested in
seeing the results tomorrow.

Subject: [Leica] Nathan's PAW 48: A person to whom I am thankful

I spent most of last week relatively immobile, recovering from knee
surgery at the end of the previous week, so my photography was more or
less on hold. Hence, I have to cheat a little and post a couple of
pictures taken in mid-October when I was in Denmark.

Riva is in her early 70s. She and her husband were part of a big wave of

Soviet Jews who emigrated to the West in the 1970s during the first
period of detente, in their case from the then Soviet Republic of
Ukraine to Denmark. They and my parents became friends, and have
remained so for 30 years. Riva and her husband have been particularly
supportive towards my father since my mother died in April 2001, and I
am always grateful that he has such good friends who are always there
for him. So, whenever I am in Copenhagen, I always make sure that we get

together with them. Riva is very outgoing and like most Eastern
Europeans likes a drink. The two pictures are from a nice evening at my
father's apartment in Copenhagen:

Both taken with Bessa R2, 35mm Summilux ASPH, on Ilford Delta 3200.

and comments and critique are always welcome.
