Subject: [Leica] The Science of Imaging - Nifty Book
From: "Beddoe, Neil" <nbeddoe@lehman.com>
Date: Fri, 3 Jan 2003 08:35:45 -0000

I ordered this book after I read a little bit of blurb about it in a recent
edition of British Journal of Photography and it arrived yesterday. I read
a couple of chapters last night and skimmed through the rest and it looks
like an excellent read. It covers the physics of light, lens design, film
characteristics, digital systems and loads of other stuff on many aspects of
imaging.

If you're interested you can get it from the Institute of Physics at
http://bookmarkphysics.iop.org/bookpge.htm?ID=932EHgkwaDIEg9OfJsthitVg&book=
882p
where you can also download some sample chapters.

Incidentally, I have no links with the publisher, author or the IOP.

Neil
