Henry

I lost one myself when I fell in Bruges and landed on top of the camera
(the bruise has almost gone now). It is indeed (on the M6 at least) a
press in stud and losing it doesn't seem to have any impact on light
leaks.

I'm thinking of emailing Leica and asking if it's possible to obtain a
replacement - heck they sent me a red dot (i.e. 1 red dot!) to replace
my scuffed one a few weeks ago.

Steve

The right hand black plastic strap bumper came off
from my M6. I found it was just riveted onto the top
plate. Any idea how I can get it repaired. Is it a DIY
job or should I send it back to Leica. Also, this
plastic thingy serves no functional purpose other than protecting the
top-plate from scuffing, but since its riveted on, does anybody know
whether the missing bumper will cause light leaks ?
