To which I can only reply: I don't know. I don't know if the AES has a fulltime employee who photographs conventions, of which there are three or so a year, or whether they hire someone ad hoc. I know he used an SLR and on-camera flash with some sort of diffusing gizmo over it. Beyond that, I'm even more clueless than usual. Sorry.
