Richard - my BW negs I make a traditional contact print. C41 I can't
afford to make a contact of each roll ( $12 for dev and contact) so I
just look at the negatives on a lite box, scan those that i like and
either print out on epson or send thru iPhoto to Kodak for 4 x 6. On
my BW neg I don't go to the wet darkroom very frequently ( once a
month) so I will scan selected negs that i think are worthy. Yes this
sort of defeats the purpose of the contact sheet but the contact sheet
is for long term use.
