I can't speak for France but I've never heard a single case in the UK of anyone winning a legal action against a photographer for use of photographs without permission. However, Catherine Zeta Jones and her grandfather, sorry husband, Michael Douglas are currently battling it out with Hello magazine over some grab shots at their wedding. Even if they win, the chances of your average snapper at the beer festival being hauled before the wigs will remain pretty small.
