Not really.  It's best done with logic, IMO.  But a micro in even the
smallest FPGA is trivial.

Controlling the shutter is merely a clock input, shutter speed input, first
curtain release output, second curtain release output, shutter button input.
All it takes is a counter.  The shutter speed input can come from the
shutter button, or the AE circuitry.

BTW, that brings something up...is the shutter on the M7 completely
electronic?  If so, then does the shutter button do anything mechanical, or
is it a "soft" button, like on other electronic cameras?
