Well I'm sure we've all heard the story that if you leave a tooth in a
glass of Co-Cola overnight it - the tooth - will dissolve.

Many of the soft drink bottlers in countries outside the U.S. (countries
in Africa, I know for sure, as I spent time in a bottling plant in
former-Zaire) use a higher sugar content in their bottling process. The
coke is sweeter, much more so than here. That probably accounts for the
better taste, too.

As for the concentrate, you do not want to see that stuff up close.
It'll scare the daylights out of you! And is toxic, deadly, undiluted.
;-)

The best coke I ever had was in a India, that is until I heard the clink
of ice in the glass. A terrifying sound...I had just been to a small
village ice plant where they were making ice out of the water that the
villagers were washing their cows with. Holy ice?

I'm from Atlanta, and was raised on Coca-Cola (to drink Pepsi would have
been tantamount to treason!) and I have to say that the New Coke was
awful. The best Coke was always, always, always in the small green glass
bottles, and very, very, very cold. Especially on a hot summer day (95
degrees and 99 percent humidity) in Georgia. That is why the drink is so
good! It was developed using focus groups (read: thirsty folks) from the
Atlanta. Besides Southern Iced Sweet Tea (recipes will be forwarded to
those who don't know how to make it right), there ain't nothin' that
will quench your thirst any bettern' an iced cold Coca-Cola (pronounced
"Co-Cola.")!
