It was a cristmas meal in the old day but now it can be bought all year in ready meal portions. My father did make it him self from the dried fish.It was almost the only food a man should make in the old days.
Akevit is a drink far away from vodka, vodka is a grain made tasteless drink but akevit have a lot of taste. It is made of potatos and later stored in old used wine barrels of wood Not sure what wine it was belive maderia or so.The best brand travel with Wilhelmsen lines over the ecvator to Australia and back to Norway.
