Thanks so much for the response ... it all makes sense
now!  It was 1.5-2 stops because I was in my den, when
I went outside (with a Leica in hand no less!) it
became apparent how it worked.  It was quite comical
for a moment ... I thought that mounting a lens (with
lenscap on) was shorting something out.  A blinking
LED is a much better idea ...

Thanks for the offer.  I don't need it ... I've got
the hang of it.  Plus, folks would then be able to
tell me to RTFM.
