If you don't have a favorite dealer, I'll be happy to help you. ;-) Kit ===== Optimized Features of the MP Viewfinder: - -All optical components are multicoated - -The viewfinder windows have a new scratch-resistant coating - -The sides of the roof prism are coated black to reduce stray light - -An additional lens element is positioned close up to the masks to improve illumination of the viewfinder frames and to enhance the contrast of the second image - -For improved illumination of viewfinder frames and minimized reflection the shape and contour of the rangefinder mirror have been modified - -The camera top has been cut away at the respective position of the viewfinder mechanism to practically rule out any vertical displacement under heavy mechanical load - -The thin strip behind the small window is now made of even thinner material. This also reduces the sensitivity of the mechanism during any vertical displacement of the e-meter - -A battery symbol provides information on the battery charge status in two stages; when the batteries are still working satisfactorily the battery symbol appears and exposure adjustment is still possible. If the battery charge is no longer adequate, the exposure adjustment extinguishes leaving just the battery symbol visible. Electronics: - -The exposure metering electronics have been revised and now correspond to the latest state-of-the-art standards - -A flash processor permits digital adjustment for the programming in production and service with mounted camera top; by avoiding the use of potentiometers the long-life stability is increased even further - -Improved linearity of the exposure meter ensures more exact exposures throughout the whole working range - -A voltage regulator ensures the correct supply voltage even when batteries become weak Flash Operation - -Flash can now be synchronized with the camera even without a battery fitted in the camera (the camera does not support TTL-flash operation) - -The beveled surface of the flash shoe is integrated into the camdera body Film transport - -Film transport is now steadier and smoother through optimized shaping of the gears - -An improved choice of material for the friction wheel of the film spool accomplishes prolonged lasting stability and a smoother film transport/advance Scope of delivery - -Additional battery cover with coin slot Shutter - -The backplane of the shutter brake is now made of bronze alloy which improves the stability - -The saddle spring for the brake friction is of a material with higher wear resistance - -The second spring for the friction is now more elastic which means a better adjustment and prolonged lasting stability - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
