Your numbers look like M6 numbers, not TTL numbers.

2468096.  I'm curious if the ASA has anything to do with it?  Mine was set
to 400 for the test, and perhaps I should see if it changes the current draw
at all.

I do not believe there is any active circuitry in the camera for TTL flash,
it's just a sensor, and the flash takes care of any electronics...but I do
not know that for a fact, and certainly would like to know.

Well, I know, but some people on this list like to argue about anything.  It
would be just like me telling you what car I drive, and someone here would
want to argue with me about it.  It happens here.  One could argue that I
don't know how to properly run the tests, or how to read a meter, or this or
that...

I don't remember seeing this.  I believe the current went to 0 immediately
after the shutter was tripped.  I'll check that right now.
