One other point is that the rear element is very close to the negative, as
noted below, and as such, the condition of this surface is paramount.  Do
not accept any such lens with any cleaning marks or other identifiable flaw.
I also must be absolutely clean in use.  The smallest speck of dust will not
degrade the overal image slightly, but will leave a clear spot on the neg.
