I've used the 400 with the gunstock setup with and without being mounted on
a tripod. The gunstock provides a lot more flexibility and speed for aiming
but Doug is right, the thing has to be supported more rigidly in order to
get sharp images. And boy are they sharp. And boy do they pop out. Bokeh I
think it's called. Backgrounds blended creamy smooth. Sometimes I'll use a
2X Extender which doesn't seem to have a negative effect. Best buy I ever
made that Televit outfit.
