I don't know of a similar ring, but to avoid the problem call Rich at 
Photovillage and order one of Luigi's leather straps. They are designed so 
that the part that rubs against the camera is leather. I think these are 
the same straps that ship with his well-regarded half-cases, but are now 
being sold separately.
