Just like people would never dump film for digital? Or is digital not a 
"new standard"? Canon EOS was a new standard. And pros migrated.  Brand 
loyalty is as strong as it once was. Regarding investment dollars, a 
digital body may cost as much as a complete set of lenses. Seems nobody 
cares about lenses. Only bodies.
