Jay and Gerry,
Sincere thanks. I have to admit that this alt1 was really my favorite, but
since it was taken with a Rolleicord and not a Leica ... It was taken early
in the week and I had to make sure I had something presentable done with a
Leica and the rest of the week was spent on it :)

I enjoy taking this portraits and hopefully I will be able to continue with
a larger series of children around the same age-group. There's a summer
haven for teenagers about a mile south of where I live, on the coast.
Middle class families can afford summer cottages there (the well-to-do
stick to the north of Gothenburg), Varberg. It has a medieval fortress,
wonderful beach right off the center of the town, old wooden palaces,
"society houses", your basic "kurort", "health spa" of the old school.

The kids take over during the summer. It's teenie-bopper heaven. I might be
able to get a stand on the market place and peddle portraits. If I could
pull it off, it would be a lovely collection of kids. They run around for
weeks, so you might get to know them a bit. Then it works. The pictures of
these two girls were taken after we took them down to Varberg (it's called
that). It's too early in the season, but it looks something like this:

I'd take a Leica, of course, and a Rolleicord/flex ... and a digital so I
could crank out prints on the spot and keep them coming back.

Then again, my mother fell in love again and is getting married. I probably
shouldn't miss that. 73 years old. I guess my father wouldn't want her
spending the rest of her life alone. Ladies in that family live to over a
hundred ... at least they have the last three generations.

Thanks again, Jay and Gerry. The shots are personal, so I was a little wary
of putting them up. I hoped they could transcend the sentimental ...

Daniel

Agfa APX 100 in Xtol is a nice combination.

I am with Jay on this one Daniel. I really like this one - for me it has
the look of Sally Mann or Jock Sturges. Really nice, and also proof that
Agfa make some great but underrated, films.
