It depends on the storage conditons and the speed of the film.
Generally, the slower speed films keep better than faster and the
fastest types don't keep very well. I'm using lots of Agfapan 100 in 35mm
that's expired 12 years ago and it's fine. I've also got lots of
Panatomic-X that's fine as well. This is a 5 inch by 1000 foot roll
for aerial cameras, that's been outdated for a similar time. I've
cut the Panatomic-X to 5x7 for the view camera, but the project
is moving slowly.
The film may pick up some fog level and require a downward speed
adjustment. However, the Panatomic-X and Agfapan have not
had any increase in fog levels and show a typical minimum on
the transmission densitometer.
