Subject: [Leica] Vignetting of Summicron M 2/28mm ASPH

I'm new to the active Leica photography. My brand new Summicron M 2/28mm
ASPH. shows pretty much vignetting. On color prints, blue sky appears as a
white 20mm circle in the middle while the corners are nice blue. Stopping
done to F16 doesn't help too much. By other scenes like building, street,
the negatives show strongly darkened edges, especially on the right side.
Also here the light fall-off is quite visible at smallest aperture. Well,
the images are crispy sharp, but the vignetting makes the picture useless.
My Canon FD 2,8/28mm delivers much better, balanced pictures.

Did someone experience the same problem?
Your help is very much appreciated.
