My mom and sister bought me the Leica loupe as a graduation gift
several years ago. It's an excellent loupe for 35mm work. It has
options for slides, film, transparent, transmissive, and reflective
work. So as long as you're in 35mm, it's a great loupe.

Also explore the Schneider loupe. It's just as good for a bit less. I
think Calumet's loupe is the Schneider, rebadged.
