I just happened to open the June 2003 Shutterbug (page 60) where it is
mentioned that film will be around for a long time.  The author mentioned
the billions of film cameras around the world still in use, plus the fact
that in 2002 there were "more than twice as many film cameras as digital
cameras sold in 2002."  That number includes single-use cameras.
