Hey, Son, he said it shaped the vision of "millions of photographers who
came after him," which, I would argue, is entirely accurate. He did not
say "of all the millions of photographers who came after him," which
would include the 100s of millions - nay, billions - of people who use
cameras, and who, as you say, haven't had their vision shaped at all.

I think it might bee a wee exageration to say, "Cartier-Bresson played a
very large role in shaping the vision of millions of photographers who
came after him."

I'm not so sure millions of photographers have had their vision shaped
at all. (That said without being critical or supportive of your point.)
