Sheesh....If I used a camera for so long and hard that it ended up looking
like that, I am sure that I would continue using it (unlike Jim Marshal,
who donated the pictured camera to Leica), but why on earth would anyone
actually WANT their camera to look like that?   Do people wear brass
jewellry?  Of course, not, because brass is an UGLY metal!   Why would
people be proud of their tools looking ugly?
