Actually Bollywood is quite innovative. The ones that make it to the 
U.S. tend to be rather stereotypical, but the genre is expanding at 
an amazing rate. I've been attending several lectures by Bollywood 
specialists and it's quite a fascinating subfield of film studies.

Don't pan it until you've seen several dozen. :-)
