interface, so scanning is a bit slow (especially on the 8x setting), 
but then I'm not in a hurry."
How slow is "a bit" at the normal single scan full res setting? I was ready
to spring for a Canonscan FS4000, but gave up when I discovered that an
full-res scan of a single frame took about 6 1/2 minutes.
