heretic here,

heliopan MC ND slim 8x  (3 stop) works nicely outdoors with ilford pan f @ 32.
i have also used #29 deep red with delta 100 @ 80.  and i have even
staked a the ND with a heliopan #11 yellow/green.  the slim filters stacked
are about the same dimensions as a single "normal" filter.
