In 1898 the family-run company was transformed in a stock corporation. 1925
Schering AG took over the majority of the shares, which was sold in 1956 to
the Carl-Zeiss-Foundation. 1973 Voigtländer was bought by Rollei, followed
by Plusfoto GmbH in 1982 and Ringfoto GmbH in 1997.
