Subject: [Leica] Perfect midtones

Imagine that you wanted a 35mm B&W film that gave superb midtone and 
highlight separation (you're less worried about shadows -- doesn't 
matter if they block up).  Imagine that you could buy ready loaded or 
bulk load yourself.  Imagine that you could process the film yourself, 
including mixing up developers from scratch.

The only requirement is that what you recommend must be in current 
production (i.e., no calls for Verichrome Pan [which didn't exist in 
135 anyway] or Super-XX).

What would you be using?
