My big finger cannot get to the dial on the M6 Classic to do that. the
M6TTL dial is large enough that it over hangs the front of the body
slightly, similar to the Leicaflex SL and R4 cameras and I then can use one
finger to change speeds. Much easier than the M6 Classic and older M's
with the tiny dial.

I have an M6 and don't hold the shutter dial, rather I rub my right index
finger against the front of the dial to change the speed.

the M6TTL was chosen in my case because of the corrected shutter speed
progression in relation to the meter diodes and the larger shutter dial
that
I can actually get a hold of. The MP screwed this part up.
