Wrong on two counts! 

Leitz, NY lenses, made by Wollensack, were indeed coated and their quality 
equaled or surpassed that of other manufacturer's lenses of the same era. Leica 
sold F4.5, 90mm Wollensak lenses in Leitz made screw mounts and both Leica and 
contemporary photographers claimed that the performance bettered that of the 
unavailable F4.0 90mm Elmar.
