Of course, scanner capture is a form of digital capture so the my earlier
statement might sound a bit odd. What I meant by the above is that the
combination of scanner noise and film grain (however tight) has a different
look to the noise from 'pure' digital capture (especially the quite pleasing
'grain-like' noise found in some images from CMOS chip cameras like the 1-Ds
and 10D).
