Sometimes asking for the boss, being polite, and explaining your position in
person, is effective.  If that fails, and the law is not on your side, then
suck it up, pay for the repair, and get last word through the internet AFTER
you get your camera back.  You may not get your $$$ back, but you will make
sure that your actions will cost the repair shop in the long run.

Lousy customer service is just a bad way to do business.
