I was just waiting, and dreading, for someone to bring up the back page of
the LA Times Book Review, Sunday, July 27, 2003.
It's the usual Sontagian projectile vomiteria. It always reminds me of Earl
Butz's ditty about the Pope, something about if one isn't playing the game,
they don't make the rules. It appropriately fits Ms. Sontag, photography's
odalisque.
