I think if that guy had had his way, we'd all be using H-bombs to power our
backyard barbeques.   

By the way, a recent article in a magazine whose name I have forgotten
(American Physical Review or something like that) discussed the relative
roles of Teller and Ulam in the development oF the H-bomb, and concluded
that Ulam deserves much more credit than he has been given until now.
