Subject: [Leica] M7 and high speed flash

Would anyone care to share their views of using the high speed flash
with their M7 (or R9 for that matter).

I shot a roll of Velvia last Sunday, of my wife and kids at a fishing
wharf. Colourful boats, water, sky, rusty iron, lots of texture -
great stuff. A few shots were against the light and while I like the
look of them, exposed for the ambient light on a sunny day, an
interesting variant would have been to use some fill flash (desite the
'commercial' look of such photos). Most shots were taken with the 21
Asph, so that's a factor.

I understand that using the high speed flash is a completely manual
process? Not a problem - just need to keep that in mind, ie, gotta use
my M6 with the flash on auto, then use the M6TTL on ttl, then use the
M7 on ttl except for high speed stuff which needs manual.

I think I can remember that .... :-(
