The new E1 represents the first real new thinking in the high end digital world. I handled one yesterday, and I must admit I was impressed. The form factor is just about right. Quite compact. Lightweight. Battery life is said to be remarkable, at around 3x what I get with my 10D today on a single charge. And it has complete environmental sealing. If the lenses are any good, it will be an interesting tool.
