So do you KNOW something Emanuel - Because as much as I'd love to see an
updated and improved 50 Summilux, I've heard many times that it's highly
unlikely Leica will ever replace the current Summilux 50 because it is a
very slow seller. No?

Emanuel,

I've heard of the likelihood of a new Summilux 50 - perhaps to match the
new Summilux
50 for the R system. I have not, however, heard anything about a new
Noctilux. Is there something I've missed or is it pure speculation.
Does Leica have something in the pipes? Just wondering because I'm
always "in the market" for a noctilux but can't ever bring myself to by
one. Weird.

Thanks in advance,

Frank

The current 50/2 is a great lens (if perhaps not in the class of the
90/2 AA or the 35/1.4 ASPH).
But Leica probably WILL introduce a 50/1.4 ASPH and
a new 50/1 within the next year. So if lens speed is important to you,
wait. If compact size and lower price are important, buy the current
50/2 (or any other 50/2 M lens by Leica -- they're all excellent).
