One more thing about the dinner:
DO feel free to bring cameras, accessories, and especially your
prints/slides to this event! We'll have a slide viewer out as well. Strut
yer stuff as you stuff yourselves.

Best,
Jim

Subject: [Leica] Two Week Notice--Leica Dinner in Bryn Mawr, PA

Just two weeks from today, it's....

My Leica Dinner! Here in Bryn Mawr, PA

Yes, we're doing another one here in Bryn Mawr. Last dinner was a great
deal of fun for all--and this one promises to be bigger and even better.

Attractions: there's a Leica Day that day down the street at The Camera Shop
in Bryn Mawr (walking distance from my place), where they'll have a
technician on staff for minor adjustments, etc. Also the usual discounts on
equipment for a Leica day. Come play with their MPs.

If you want to make it a weekend here, consider this: on Sundays Renningers
(USA's biggest antiques flea market, with actual OLD stuff inside) is only
about an hour away. There are two dealers there who have old photo
equipment. About 35 minutes away in Phoenixville (almost next to Valley
Forge Park) the Colonial Theater is having their Classic Sundays with Kate
on November 9th--showing of "Christopher Strong" in a restored 1903 theater!

Details: Party here begins five-ish when the store closes, and goes until
the last drop of single-malt Sterno disappears from the pipette.

Kyle Cassidy has graciously offered accommodations at his Bates Motel
franchise, for all those who need a flop.

Current committed attendees include Phong (from Boston), Bern Delgato (from
NYC), Robert Clark (from the wilds of Lancaster), and a host of other
non-LUG folks who happen to use this equipment often. We also have definite
maybes from Sonny C. and Sal DiMarco. We tried to get Martin Howard to
stay, but his Mexican girlfriend wants him to be in Mexico City that
weekend. Can't blame him for chasing a more attractive aperture!

Since my place only can accommodate about 20, let me know ASAP if you're
coming to the party! Bring nothing but yourselves and an appetite.

RSVP much appreciated!!! Replies off-list, please.

Best,
Jim Shulman
