I went on a bird excursion last week to photograph some of these rare and
wonderful animals.

Unlike doug who uses a long lens from a distance, in my bird photography, I
disguise myself as a pile of bird seed and creep slowly towards them,
photographing with a 17mm lens. As I get near the bird, in order to catch it
"on the wing" I fling off my disguise and shriek "I'm a cat!". The
adrenneline gives the birds a flush of extra color. This type of bird I've
not seen in doug's portfolio, so it must be rare indeed!
