Far fewer produced (40k as opposed to 130k+) and a much more useable 
camera. The IIIg has a normal shutter speed progression, easy to use 
flash sync, easy to use finder with parallax compensating framelines 
for the common 50 and 90 lenses. Prices for a battered user is not too 
bad if you can find one.
