I had not read Jack's provocative post when I commented on B.D.'s
inflammation. Had I, I might have commented on that post or not have
commented on B.D.'s. So I do regret not having read Jack's post first.

A year or so ago I pointed out on this list the dangers that electronic
communications import. We tend to take liberties in language that we would
never think of taking if we were in the readers' presence.

For some time after I first joined this list, it was a lot of fun. It no
longer is. Why I was gone for several months.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanza, Happy Winter Solstice and a
Happy Healthy New Year to all, including B.D. and Jack.
