Subject: [Leica] Playing with a Russian lens on a German body

Well I broke down and bought a real Contax, a IIa, just couldn't pass it up it was in beautiful condition with a perfect 50mm f2 Sonnar. However I also picked up an Orion-15 28mm f6 russian contax 
lens.  This is probably the rarest of the Kiev Contax lenses and it wasn't cheap by Kiev standards, just around $300, but the collector in me took over.  It is an interesting lens in that it is not coupled to 
the range finder, but with a maximum aperture of f6 the rangefinder is really not needed, just a close estimate on the distance and the DOF takes care of the rest.  Again the quality of the Russian optics 
is remarkable and with the smoothness of the Zeiss body it made for a pleasant afternoon at a local train yard.

The final shot directly into the sun including the sun was a deliberate attempt to see what kind of reflections the lens would have, as you can see they are minimal.
