I note some discussion recently of software that, as I understand it, is used adjust different screens for color. I just had an experience of viewing the photographs that I have prepared for my WEB page on a one-year-old Dell Ultra flat screen. All of my pictures appeared washed out. I turned the brightness on the screen to zero and they were still washed out. I had developed them (do we say that for light rooms?) using two or three CRTs. How do people make adjustments for the multitude of screens that their photographs will be displayed on? - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Dzwig" <pdzwig@summaventures.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Thursday, March 11, 2004 3:57 PM Subject: [Leica] Screens > LUGers, > > I would be very interested in hearing the LUG's view on what the recommended > screen is for using for displaying images (B&W - of course - and colour [film or > digital] too) assuming scanning with (where appropriate) Nikon 5000 or similar > particularly CRT .vs. non-CRT and any particular brands. > > Now I do get the impression that this might not necessarily be the shortest > discussion, so apologies to the list in advance :-) > > Regards as ever, > > Peter Dzwig > > PS Price is not too much of an issue if I can save several grand and two years > by buying my Epson/Cosina/Voigtlander rather than a Digital M.
