I've had 3 Contax T since its introduction, and have been my preferred camera when I travel. It's light, quiet, and very pocketable , especially without the flash. The 5-element zeiss lens is super sharp, and the semi-automatic does allow a fair amount of control. Its is a manual focus true rangefinder camera. When it first came out , it was dubbed the Rolls Royce of rangefinder cameras. Film loading is critical, as overlaps will occur if not properly tension before closing the back. Metro camera repair in NYC will service this camera, and still has a few extra top plates. I still use this camera today.
